Tropicallili (Founder/Admin of Purple, Butterflies, and Elves[mhmm!]. Also, Keeper of zee Dragons... Look who's busy!):

     Tropicallili is one of the founders of The Last Gate forum and goes by the name of Juleah (which most people can't spell or pronounce) in real life. She however, has learned to answer to most anything except she does not like answering to, "Hey girl over there or Hey stupid." She has almost an endless amount of nicknames which range from lei and jujuebeez (a nickname her cousin gave her, not because she's particularly fond of the candy) to lili, leahlili, tropicallili, and setsunalove(78), her first online alias which she still uses as her msn screenname.

     Tropicallili was born on May 30, 1985, which makes her knocking on the door of the ancients, and she enjoys all types of art, reading, writing, music, video games, and the internet. Her favorite colors are purples, reds, blues, silver, and most greens. In summary, she has a great appreciation for all colors and thinks the world would be a boring place without them. Much like her taste in colors, she has a vast array of movies, books, and music that she enjoys. Some of her favorite movies (including a few mini series) are, LOTR Trilogy, the Harry Potter Series, Vertigo, Rear Window, North by Northwest, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Calamity Jane, My Fair Lady, Pillow Talk, Pride and Prejudice, Little Dorrit, Bleak House, Great Expectations, North & South, Persuasion, and Sense and Sensibility. She also enjoys most Disney movies and will always cry during sappy pleasures such as, Heidi, A Little Princess, and The Secret Garden.

     Some of Tropicallili's favorite books include, all of the Harry Potter books, The Dark Elf Trilogy, LOTR Trilogy, The Mists of Avalon, Pedro Paramo, Shame, A Hundred Years of Solitude, Chronicles of a Death Foretold, Pride and Prejudice, Persuasion, and many more. Tropicallili's musical tastes, as stated above are broad, and some of her favorite artists include, Jimmy Eat World, 3 Doors Down, Lifehouse, Adele, Michael Buble, Josh Groban, Young the Giant, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Maroon 5, Jack Johnson, Zee Avi, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole, Etta James, Beethoven, Saint Saens, and many others.

     As an artist in both the traditional and digital realm, Tropicallili has a great appreciation for all types of art and artists. Some of her favorite artists include, Salavador Dali, Rembrandt, Michelangelo, Eva Hesse, and Brian Froud. She always enjoys finding and learning about new and different artists and hopes to one day inspire people with her work as much as other artists have inspired her with their works.

     An artist from the time she could hold a pencil in her hand, Tropicallili has been drawing and creating things for a long time (don't ask her when her passion for art started because she can't remember... "It's always been there? " she will inevitably say.) She does, however, remember when she first started creating dolls and pixel work... Tropicallili's journey into dolling began with her first doll on June 10, 2004. She immediately stopped after her first attempt because she as certain that she wouldn't enjoy dolling. But being relentless, her good friend, and now sibling, Brandon, kept pestering her to keep trying so, she started dolling again in late August, early September, and has been creating dolls, bases, and other pixel work ever since.

     To conclude, Tropicallili would like us to say that she's a boring person and is sure that you will probably agree with her. She also will not turn down gifts containing elves by the name of Legolas, pirates by the name of Will Turner, and will probably watch any movie containing Orlando Bloom, just so she can see his pretty.

Andavri (Admin of the Bunny Ears, Fellow Dragon Lover, Toolshader Extraordinaire[Or so says Tropicallili ^_^]!):

     Andavri joined the High Court Officials upon the rebirth of The Last Gate forum, when the other founder, Salem's hosting expired. Andavri offered to host the forum on her domain but unfortunating SMF was not compatible with her host at the time so Tropicallili, this as a sign that she needed to get her own hosting. Andavri, although, not being a founder of the forum has done a great amount of work for the forum, investing late nights thinking up new challenges, making graphics, and helping to code forum themes for The Last Gate.

     In real life, Andavri goes by the name Stephannie, though she prefers to be called Steph. She was born on June 17, 1981, and goes by the nicknames Steph, blackbird, Unchosenlove, and Bloodfeather. Andavri's hobbies include writing, dolling, drawing, chatting on YIM, and playing FF games on PS2. According to Tropicallili, she also makes excellent skins for the sims game and is very talented at CG painting, blends, and icon making.

     When it comes to colors, Andavri's favorites are, black, dark blue, silver, burgandy, and mulberry... but mostly black, yes black! Some of her favorite movies include, Lord of the Rings, The Matrix, the first three Starwars movies, and Endless Waltz. Like most of the staff at The Last Gate, Andavri enjoys reading and likes a number of books. Some of her favorite books, so as not to write a novel (which she also enjoys doing), are; Salem's Lot, The Shining, and Interview with the Vampire.

     Andavri, also enjoys all types of music, though she can't stand most modern pop and r&b music (we do not blame her). Some of her favorite musicians are, Nickleback, Def Leppard, Jimmy Eat World, the Beatles, Matchbox 20, 3 Doors Down, Eve 6, Sugar Ray, Staind, and so much more, as her playlists often surprises her co-admin and sibling (who shall remain nameless because her name has already been mentioned way too... much in this write up already).

     As an artist, some of Andavri's art inspirations include the works of some of her favorite artists like, Stephanie Pui-Mun Law, Thomas Canty, Linda Ravenscroft, and Sir Frank Dicksee. Andavri was doodling and creating art, also at a young age. She began dolling, however, sometime in the summer of 2002. She maintains that her beginning and early work is something to be feared because of the suckage and she also didn't doll again for quite a while. She started up again in November of 2003 and began her first doll site, the Unforgiven in February of 2004. Andavri's love of doll creation has grown and envolved into creating CG paintings and she now favors that over dolling.

     Andavri's celebrity crush is Elijah Wood, which also transfers to her love of hobbits (we are not sure which came before the love of hobbits or the love of Elijah Wood... we shall leave that with the grueling debate over what came first, the chicken or the egg). She also likes guys with long hair and Arthurian Legend, as well as warts (aka Draco Malfoy).

Salem (Founder/Silent Admin/Token Boy):

     Salem is one of the founders of The Last Gate. He is also the founder who came up with the name of the forum and origianlly hosted the forum on his domain, muse-on-vacation.net. However, due to having his hosting expire, the forum's first incarnation was lost and a new home for the forum became a task for both original High Court Officials. The home was eventually found upon the creation of theworldofpurple.net and the forum has resided there since.

     In real life, Salem goes by the name of Brandon and the nicknames, Salem, Bee or BeeNess, and mi amigo. He was born on November 7, and though he refuses to disclose the year, we know that he is the youngest of the High Court Officials and also the youngest of all the Low Court Officials and Knights of the Kingdom at The Last Gate, making him both the baby and the forum's token boy.

     Salem enjoys such hobbies as, reading, hiking, philosophy, dolling, talking with his friends, playing the Sims, and other video games. He also enjoys learning French, according to his sister site, Tropicallili. She also discloses his love for acting and singing, as well as, his unfortunate addiction to World of Warcraft, which she states, "Eats Brains for breakfast, lunch, and dinner."

     Salem's favorite colors waver between green and blue. He is not opposed to wearing a pink shirt, likes the movie King Kong, and enjoys reading fictional books like the Harry Potter Series. He also enjoys Greek mythology, and thinks Da Vinci was pretty awesome. His favorite musician is Led Zeppelin and he doesn't have any favorite actors or actresses, but he thinks Johnny Depp is pretty awesome.

     Salem is a self proclaimed procrastinator and a nice person to boot, or so he thinks so (we think so too). He began his first affair with dolling in late April of 2004 and prides himself, in getting, Juleah aka Tropicallili, hooked on this particular hobby. He has plans to start dolling again but we do not hold our breath, because he is a self proclaimed procrastinator after all (we understand, we are like that too).

Sawcat (Men in green tights are hot! Historical Buff ^_^ and kitty lover.) :

     Sawcat is The Last Gate's only current Low Court Official. She goes by the name Sarah outside of the internet and was born on April 11 (she also refuses to disclose the year of her birth, stating that a lady never reveals her true age). Her hobbies include, reading, watching movies, playing the Sims, cross-stitching, and embroidery.

     This Lowcourt Official's favorite colors are maroon, blue, green, orange, and yellow. She maintains that so long as it's not a neon shade or pastel, she likes it (we tend to agree). Her favorite movies are Persuasion and North and South. With her love of period films, she also enjoys books of the same theme, enjoying works like; Persuasion, the Hornblower series, Sharpe series, and North and South.

     An avid music listener, Sawcat enjoys listening to music by such artists like, Jazon Mraz, The Killers, Matchbox Twenty, Robbie Williams, Maroon 5, Young the Giant, and Mumford & Sons. Her favorite actors and actresses are, Richard Armitage, David Morrisey, Jonas Armstrong, John Barrowman, Anne Hathaway, and Miranda Otto.

     Like most of the staff at The Last Gate, Sawcat, is a dolling veteran and has been creating pixels since 2004. She enjoys art by lads like M.C. Escher, Salvador Dali, and Monet. She is a self proclaimed nerd and enjoys history, thus making her the forum's history buff. You can also see her love of history translated in her dolls, which feature a beautiful array of historical dresses. She also has a love of pixeling funky hair in bright colors (we admit, we like it... we like it a lot) and likes to add a bit of quirk to her dolls and pixels. A little bird also tells us, that Sawcat likes Robin Hood and Indiana Jones. We are also fairly certain that if you were to bribe her with gifts of Wash, from Firefly or any of the characters from that series for that matter, she would not refuse (we do not blame her).

Bexy (Lady of Green and Cloud Obsessor):

     Bexy, or Rebecca, as she goes by in the world outside of the internet was born on April 13th (darn these ladies and not giving out the year they were born... It's okay... we understand). She is from Australia and enjoys hobbies like dolling, drawing, watching movies, and building up her photo album. She is also a mommy and is often busy taking care of her adorable little girl.

     Bexy's favorite colors are green, pink, purple, and red. She enjoys movies like Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Carribean, Fifth Element, Starwars, the Labyrynth, Narnia, and any fantasy or sci-fi movie. Her love of fantasy is also reflected in her tastes for literature, prefering fantasy novels, like the Dragons of Pern chronicles by Anne McCaffery.

     She enjoys a number of musicians and artists, saying that the list for both is just far too long to mention. We understand, this sentiment and appreciate it as it saves us the time of writing the list up for all of you to read, unlike the person who shall not be mentioned because her name has been mentioned far too much in these writeups already, who tends to babble and doesn't mind giving a list of her favorites, a trait that is not possessed in her real life conversations, but we digress.

     Bexy enjoys such actors and actresses as Cate Blanchet and Orlando Bloom. She states that Cate Blanchet is so down to earth and a good actress to boot and that Orlando Bloom is so hot that you could cook a steak on his chest (we know someone who would agree with the latter. Do we smell a cat fight in the future or would these ladies be willing to share the beauty that is Orlando Bloom, we wonder...). This Low Court Official also loves animals, fantasy stuff (but you already knew that), Final Fantasy (both the games and the movies), as well as the sims. She also has created skins for the Sims 2, which sadly, are no longer available for download (maybe we should pester her about that?).

Laurie (We like Bright Colors!, Iso, and Reno [FF's smexy red head].):

     Laurie, like Bexy was one of the original Low Court Officials of The Last Gate forum. She is a proud Canadian and goes by the name Lauren outside of the internet. She was born on January 16th (Yet another lady who does not reveal her true age... We, however, know that she is a year younger than you know who shall not be named, although, we are not sure how chivalrous it was for us to tell you that... Tis a good thing, we are not a man or a group of men, else we'd be in trouble, wouldn't we?).

     This Low Court Official's hobbies include, roleplaying (yeah, we almost typed rollplaying) with her best friend, roleplaying in general, dolling, reading, writing, and video games. Her favorite colors are purple and orange. She also has a love of bright colors, small bases, and red heads with the last name Weasley. Having said that, Laurie enjoys the Harry Potter movies, as well as, the books, and also enjoys reading the Enchanted Forest Chronicles. She also enjoys the X-men movies and states that Walt Disney is her favorite artist. This statement leads us to believe that she enjoys Disney movies, and really, who would blame her?

     Laurie maintains that she does not really have a favorite musician but she admits to liking Patrick Stewart as an actor. She also believes that Mandy Moore is much more talented as an actress than she is as a musician (some of us admit, that we watch her movies and enjoy them quite a bit).

     Laurie has been creating pixels since February of 2003 and has always worked in Microsoft Paint to create her work, thus gaining quite a bit of respect from her peers with how she creates her pixels (we know... we don't get how anyone can create anything but scribbles with MSPaint). Apart from dolling, she creates bases and enjoys doing isometric pixels. She is also the founder of The Last Gate's Twelve Days of Christmas Giveaway and hosted for a time, the forum's spin-off Roleplaying forum, Lareanea, which has yet to be reborn.

Loopy (Lady in Red, Red, and Red!):

     Loopy shared the role of Knight of the Kingdom with Sawcat, before Sawcat was promoted to a Low Court Official, following the departure of Bexy and Laurie who had both lost interest in dolling due to situtations of every day life. Loopy like Laurie, is a proud Candadian. She is known outside the internet as Stephanie. Loopy was born on November 14, 1974 and is a single, stay at home mom to a wonderful son named, Shaunan. She goes by the nicknames Loopy (of course) and Loopy74.

     Loopy's hobbies include, dolling, reading, and hanging out online. She also plays quite a bit of facebook apps (and we aren't complaining because we're friends and the more the merrier on the app boat!). Her favorite colors are red, silver, purple, and black. She says that her favorite movies are just way too many to mention and we don't mind because it means less typing for us. Loopy, like most of The Last Gate staff enjoys the Harry Potter series by J.K Rowling and likes just about any book by Terry Brooks.

     This Knight of the Kingdom's favorite musicians are Medieval Baebes, Bond, Pink, and Stevie Nicks. Some of her favorite actors and actresses are, Natalie Portman, Owen Wilson, Viggo Mortensen, and Hugh Jackman. Like a few of the other staff her favorite artists are, Salvador Dali, and Brian Froud. From what we know, she also enjoys art by Amy Brown, and likes most things medieval.

     Loopy has been dolling since late 2003 and she like, Laurie, dolls primarily in Microsoft Paint. Loopy generally makes small to medium ranged dolls and bases, as well as patterns, which she makes available for use on her website. She also makes really cute pixel ducks and other animals, which we are quite fond of, so much so, that we had to mention it in her biography.

Guenever (Lady of the Apples):

     Guenever is the newest member of the staff and joined Loopy, as a Knight of the Kingdom, on July of 2011. She was born on Bastille Day (no, not the first Bastille Day!). This Knight of the Kingdom's hobbies include reading, writing, dolling, walking with faeries, movies, loving her cat, watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and generally living in a fantasy world... that is, when she doesn't have to work.

     Guenever's favorite colors are pink and lavender. She also enjoys a number of movies like, True Romance, The Lady in the Water, Meet Joe Black, Gigli, Casablanca, and Breakfast at Tiffany's. Her favorite books include, The Mists of Avalon, Kindred, and books by authors like, Phil Rickman, Charles de Lint, Kelley Armstrong, F.Scott Fitzgerald, John Steinbeck, and Daphne du Maurier.

     Some of Guenever's favorite musicians are, Blackmore's Night, Jennifer Lopez, Saving Jane, Laura Powers, Reelies, Fergie, Christina Aguilera, Avril Lavigne, Goo Goo Dolls, and most 80's music. Her favorite actors and actresses include the following, Cate Blanchett, Gwyneth Paltrow, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Leonardo DiCaprio, Anthony Hopkins, and Audrey Hepburn (we really like that she likes Audrey Hepburn, because we like her too!).

     Guenever enjoys art by Brian Froud, J. Corsentino, Amy Brown, Jessica Galbreth, and Waterhouse. Her fantasy leanings translate into the work she puts into her beautiful dolls which are usually fantasy and historically themed, with beautiful and rich dress designs. She discovered the world of dolling through dollmakers and soon became obssessed with creating dolls through those means. It wasn't until a year later in April of 2006, that she ever attempted to create her own original doll. Since then, she has been quite hooked on dolling, and we are glad of it, as we do enjoy seeing her creations.
